Services We Provide

• Parental Education

We offer positive Parental Education to parents and caregivers as an early intervention and prevention service in reducing the number of children taken into the care system.

•     Awareness Raising on Children’s Rights

We work within the African communities creating the awareness on the rights of children enshrined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and other international conventions and the UK legislation promoting the rights and welfare of children

•     Education, Research and Advisory Services

Through education, research and advisory services, we create awareness of the African children’s needs, improve policies and practices and develop healthy family relationships amongst African families.  Activities include seminars, workshops, training, research and publishing reports; programmes for parents, policy makers, service providers, community leaders, faith organisations, community meetings, consultancy and advisory services.

•     Community Development

We develop programmes in partnership with other organisations putting in place programmes and projects, which address the needs of children and families especially in the BME community.

•     Support Services for African and BME children, young people and families in crisis

Through our effective early intervention services, we work to support children, young people and families at the point of breakdown.

NEI Centre for Parenting Education UK

The New Era Initiative Centre for Parenting Education UK is our new arm in Parenting Education working across the United Kingdom.  A specialist one stop-centre that provides a range of services for families and children.
